How did you feel when you woke up on your wedding day?

Shevaun: Excited! I couldn’t wait to marry my best friend.
Coenie: I was actually very relaxed, knowing I was going to marry my high school sweetheart.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Where did you get ready?

Shevaun: Sanddrif guest farm in Stellenbosch. What a beautiful and tranquil place.
Coenie: Van Ryn’s brandy farm next door to Hudson’s

How did you choose your wedding dress?

In the beginning I didn’t know what style I wanted. All I had in mind was sparkly and sexy – my personality in a dress! Now that was hard to find! After dress shopping for months I finally found my dream dress at Tying The Knot bridal boutique in Table View.

What was your ceremony like?

Absolutely beautiful. The gardens set the perfect ambience.[/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid element_width=”3″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1580322958121-87363f51-d214-6″ include=”38446,38447,38448,38449″][vc_column_text]What did you and your guests have to eat at your wedding?

We started off with a harvest table of cold meats, cheese and bread after the ceremony. At the reception we had the most tender, perfectly cooked fillet of beef with pepper sauce, served with baby honey roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables. I bet your mouth is watering right now! Every single steak was perfect. I don’t know how they do it! For dessert we had a perfectly set Pannacotta Caramello with walnut brittle. Yummy!

What was your favourite or most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Marrying my high school sweetheart of course!

What was your favourite wedding detail?

The entire reception hall – from the sparkling chandeliers, to the twinkling floating candles and let’s not forget those magnificent floral centerpieces…[/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1580323090549-683492c6-51a6-7″ include=”38450,38451,38452″][vc_column_text]What is one thing you would change?

Absolutely nothing.

What is your number one tip for couples still planning their wedding?

Don’t leave the planning all to one person! Both of you should definitely get involved. We had the time of our lives planning together and we both knew exactly what was happening on our wedding day. No questions asked.

What was your first dance song and why?

The food!

What was your biggest wedding saving?

Our wedding cake. Tessa’s Bakery has the most incredibly delicious and beautiful cakes!

Did you go on honeymoon?

Yes, Thailand baby!

Keep it simple and don’t try to add things at the last minute. We had everything organised an entire week before our wedding. What a breeze. No stress!
