Jacques is from a farm in the beautiful Ficksburg, Eastern Free State and Inge is a local from Somerset West.
Currently they live together in Hillcrest, KwaZulu Natal. They are both physiotherapists who love sport and the great outdoors. This gorgeous couple have picked Hudson’s as the backdrop to their wedding day in March 2020 so we asked them to tell us more about their story.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]How did you meet?
We met at University of the Free State in our first year. Jacques was in the residence just opposite Inge. We had a lot of mutual friends but only started dating in our fourth year of varsity.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]What’s your engagement story?
We got engaged on the 26th July at the beautiful Lourensford Wine Estate. We were in Cape Town for the weekend to visit Inge’s parents. Jacques knew this was the perfect place to get engaged as Inge loves Cape Town. We had a lovely morning starting with a wine tasting at Spier before heading to Lourensford for a wine pairing. Little did Inge know it was actually to pop the question! We took a stroll in the vineyards where Jacques went down on one knee. Inge said yes before he could even properly ask! It was a very special day and we celebrated with friends, ending off a perfect weekend.
How did you go about venue hunting?
We both wanted to get married in Cape Town, on a wine farm with beautiful scenery. We’ve always known about Hudson’s and Inge celebrated her 21st birthday there with friends. We love the loft venue. It’s spacious and everything we wanted. What a beautiful place! We are very excited.
Do you have any advice for couples still looking for venues?
Enjoy this time in your life! You only have it once so make the most of it. Try not to stress about all the arrangements. Take one thing at a time. Also, decide upon everything together as a couple. Your wedding day should be everything you both dreamed of.
What part of your wedding are you most looking forward to?
Enjoying the evening with all our loved ones as husband and wife and taking in all the special moments. And of course the honeymoon – a much needed holiday![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]We can’t wait to host Inge & Jacques’ big day.
