Janice and Neil are friendly, charismatic and down to earth – our ideal sort of couple to plan a wedding with.

We know that their big day is going to be filled with love and fun like all of the best weddings. Meet Janice Korte and Neil Pozzo who will become husband and wife at Hudson’s on 3rd November this year.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]How did you meet?

Three years ago Janice travelled from her home in Cape Town to Zimbabwe to be bridesmaid at a friend’s wedding. As part of the festivities Janice attended a braai. There she met Neil who was living in Zimbabwe. A few months later Neil began to message Janice as he was travelling regularly to Cape Town for work (and in no way to create opportunities to see Janice, ahem). Within a year, Neil had moved to Cape Town and the rest is history!

What’s your engagement story?

Janice: We decided to visit a new destination each year as a couple. Last year we planned a trip to various regions of Spain including the wine region La Rioja. After a day of wine tasting we climbed a hill at the Castillo Fortaleza De San Vicente De La Sonsierra, a cathedral and fort. As we sat staring down at the medieval bridge over the Ebro river, taking in the rich history of the land, Neil pulled out a stunning ring and asked me to marry him. The ring had belonged to his mother and his grandmother before her. One year later, we are preparing for our wedding day.

How did you go about venue hunting?

Hudson’s venue was the first and last place we looked at! It offers everything we want – great views, huge outside lawn and a large loft area for dancing.

Do you have any advice for couples still looking for venues?

We believe you should have no regrets when looking back at your wedding day. Therefore, choose things that you really want. Also, pick a venue that does everything for you. It makes the experience a lot easier and stress free.

What part of your wedding are you most looking forward to?

Janice: I’m excited about getting ready with my mom and bridesmaids and then seeing Neil waiting for me at the end of the aisle.

Neil: I can’t wait to chat to all of our friends and family after the formalities and to dance with our guests.

We are delighted to be hosting Janice & Neil’s big day. To get excited about planning your wedding with us get in touch to schedule a viewing.
